About the Event
The Black Swan Street Doctor is a free, fully accredited medical service made possible through the support of WA Health, along with our generous donors and supporters. The Street Doctor provides accessible and suitable general practice care to those who might otherwise be without it.
You can find our trucks stationed at various locations around Fremantle, Scarborough, Mirrabooka and Mandurah during week days.
Black Swan Street Doctor services are entirely free and staffed by medical professionals who provide immediate, comprehensive care or refer patients to other services to ensure a holistic approach to their health needs. We conduct over 4,500 consultations annually, with more than 35 percent of our patients identifying as homeless and 38 percent identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Over 80 percent of our clients present with multiple medical conditions, and for over 90 percent, the Black Swan Health Street Doctor serves as their primary healthcare provider.
