Rama Kandel holds a significant public profile in the field of education in Nepal.
Rama is the Rotary District Community Service Chair of Education, she has been a Rotary member for 16 years and was Rotary Club of Bagmati President in 2016/17. She is also a director of the Southwestern State Education College, Tokha Saraswati, Nepal and is Chairperson and International Coordinator of the Nepal Japan Sewa Centre in Khatmandu. This centre provides Japanese language training, career guidance and travel advice. Rama is also vice President of the International Education Representatives Initiative of Nepal in Khatmandu.
